Shetland Pony Gelding for Sale in Fort Collins, CO

OPEN BIDDING ON THEHORSEBAY,COM. SALE ENDS ON 02/04 @ 12PM CT. More information is available on the website, including an UTD vet inspection, Coggins, video, images, and the owner's contact information to ask questions, request information, or make arrangements to come to visit. Golly, Sid is a one-of-a-kind full-size horse trapped in a pony body. This guy would be the friend you always want to be your plus one on any adventure. He isn’t afraid of anything and will do it all for attention or treats. He is a doll on the ground; just one giant teddy bear the kids can groom and tack up by themselves. He is great with his feet, not cinchy, and takes the bit or will ride with a halter. Sid started his life as a carousel pony at carnivals, so he’s been around the block and seen a lot for his age. He’s been with us for the entirety of his riding and driving training, and boy, did he pick it up like he was meant for it. He will walk, trot, and canter on or off the lead. He has toted the flag at all gaits and been on all kinds of trails. He will hop right into any trailer and ride the same at new arenas as at home. If a big horse can do it, he can do it too. He has spent a lot of time with kids in and out of the house and is always engaged, and loves to play with them as much as they do with him. Put a cherry on top of it all. You won’t find a lot built as solid and colorful as he is. He’s one the whole family can enjoy, from cart rides to pony rides to play day rodeos. This guy has got you covered! He’s young with all the best years ahead of him!

About Fort Collins, CO

Fort Collins was founded as a military outpost of the United States Army in 1864. It succeeded a previous encampment, known as Camp Collins, on the Cache La Poudre River, near what is known today as Laporte. Camp Collins was erected during the Indian wars of the mid-1860s to protect the Overland mail route that had been recently relocated through the region. Travelers crossing the county on the Overland Trail would camp there, but a flood destroyed the camp in June 1864. Afterward, the commander of the fort wrote to the commandant of Fort Laramie in southeast Wyoming, Colonel William O.
