Quarter Horse Gelding for Sale in Woodburn, KY

Blueberry’s Pitt is a 3yo Bay Roan AQHA Gelding. He stands 14.3hh tall & is very well put together. Don’t let his age fool you; this guy has been exposed to a lot in his last year with us working the stockyards & grow yard at Hardison Cattle Co. From trail riding with my children to doctoring cattle in the pasture, this beautiful young gelding will get the job done right. He is very athletic & not lazy, so I don’t recommend him for a total beginner. My kids can ride him, but my kids can ride. He will make a great rope horse, sorter, or working cow horse. He will pick up a gear & go when asked, but he is no hothead. He will walk right along on a loose rein all day until you call on him. He’s gentle & easy to handle. Stands to be mounted, bathed, clipped, etc. He gets along great with our other horses & ponies. He stands great for the farrier & has nice hard feet. Passed a vet exam this month with flying colors. He’s sound, sane & ready for a job. This guy is the kind you want to ride all day & can count on to do a job. He will open gates, side pass & cross about whatever you put in front of him. He will go right on with tarps, mud, water, logs, and bridges. Loads & hauls like a champ. Has been at the stockyards penning & sorting cattle. Loud noises, gunfire & flags don’t bother him. We have darted calves off of him & he knows how to handle a rope. If you’re looking for an athlete that has the potential to take you to the top, this is your guy. He’s taken everything we’ve thrown at him in stride. Stalls great. Will ride off alone or anywhere in a group. Has spent several weekends on a picket line with other horses with no issues. Here’s your chance to get a super nice horse!!! Call or Text Celsi for more info. Thanks & God Bless.

About Woodburn, KY

Woodburn began as a hamlet known as "Mason's Inn," which served as a stop along the stagecoach road that roughly followed what is now U.S. Route 31W. It is believed to have gotten its current name from a nearby forest that had been destroyed by fire. The L&N established a depot at the site in 1859, initially calling it "New Woodburn," but reverting simply to "Woodburn" by 1864. A townsite was platted next to the depot in 1865, and the city was incorporated the following year.
