Pony Mare for Sale in Woodburn, KY
OPEN BIDDING ON THEHORSEBAY,COM. SALE ENDS ON 12/10 @ 12:30PM CT. More information is available on the website, including an UTD vet inspection, Coggins, video, images, and the owner's contact information to ask questions, request information, or make arrangements to come to visit.
Grace is a 6yo red roan pony mare. She stands 41” tall. Grace has been our son Eli’s pony for the past two years. She leads, loads, lunges, clips & bathes. She stands to be shod all the way around. Eli broke Grace to ride himself as he learned to ride. She was barely broke to lead when we got her. Eli put all of her training on her. She tolerates everything the children put her through, from roping & harassing our sheep to trail riding. Eli uses her to gather, sort & doctor cattle as well. The only reason we have decided to offer her for sale is so that Eli can move up to a bigger horse to rope on, as he’s becoming a better roper. Grace does well-Crossing water, logs, ditches & other rough terrains. She’s great to ride on trails or just around the farm to work cattle. She is used to being ridden with other horses, but she will also ride off alone for Eli. We have also ponied & lead our 4yo daughter on Grace, but she now has her own pony to ride. Grace is an easy keeper & gets along with the other horses, ponies & farm animals in the pasture. Grace is UTD on shots, wormer, hoof & dental care, and coggins. She had a vet check done on 11/12/22 & she is sound & ready to ride. Contact Logan with any questions you may have.

About Woodburn, KY
Woodburn began as a hamlet known as "Mason's Inn," which served as a stop along the stagecoach road that roughly followed what is now U.S. Route 31W. It is believed to have gotten its current name from a nearby forest that had been destroyed by fire. The L&N established a depot at the site in 1859, initially calling it "New Woodburn," but reverting simply to "Woodburn" by 1864. A townsite was platted next to the depot in 1865, and the city was incorporated the following year.
