Spotted Saddle Gelding for Sale in Hickory Valley, TN

OPEN BIDDING ON THEHORSEBAY,COM. SALE ENDS ON 12/03 @ 12PM CT. More information is available on the website, including an UTD vet inspection, Coggins, video, images, and the owner's contact information to ask questions, request information, or make arrangements to come to visit. Enjoy a nice relaxing ride through the forest or rack your way to the winner’s circle on this big, bold, beautiful, sure-footed gelding. He is no stranger to the trail or the rail. He has won numerous blue ribbons from when he was a two and 3-year-old, gaining him the title of a National Champion in the single-footing mares and geldings division. He has also had field trial exposure. He does well with dogs, other horses, and gunfire. He’s no stranger to Chickasaw State Park and multiple other trail venues. I consider this horse a total package-type horse due to his versatility. His gait is 100% natural and has been from day one. He will walk on a loose rein, slow gait, and comfortably rack up to speeds of 15-18 mph. Wherever you go, you won’t go unnoticed, that’s for sure! He is 100% sound in every way. He hasn’t been ridden on hard surfaces and has never been strained or overworked. Doesn’t crib, kick, bite, loads well, clips well, trailers well, stalls well, walks up to you in the pasture, and stands to be shod.

About Hickory Valley, TN

Hickory Valley's origin dates back to the blending of three independent pioneer settlements in the area that were founded by three men: William Shinault in 1820, Drury Wood in 1826 and William Barnett in 1827. The Shinault Settlement formed before Hardeman County was organized and featured the first school in Hardeman County, which operated as early as 1823. The main buildings of the settlement were located one mile southwest of the present town and a former Indian trail and the historical Boliver-LaGrange Road are still visible in some places south of Hickory Valley. In 1826 Drury Wood migrated to the area and founded the Hickory Valley settlement; a cemetery for the Wood family is still located in the area and marks the original site of the settlement. William Barnett would move into the area in 1827 and would establish Mt.
