Sapphire is one for anyone to ride; she is gentle, safe, and one of the sweetest mares I’ve ever had. We’ve had her everywhere trail riding, and she’s amazing. Sand dunes. Umpqua national forest in Oregon, both recently, Rocky mountain national park, and all over the USA. We used her in a Christmas parade last Christmas in Texas. She’s seen every type of terrain known in the USA and does well with it. If you’re looking for a sure-footed best friend to take you out safely and return safely, this is her. She does well alone or in groups. She’s great in a mixed herd in the pasture as well. She’s great for the farrier and vet. She is barefooted in all videos. She is always sound and has no maintenance. She loads and unloads as one should. She is great to tack up. She stands to be mounted and dismounted. She is absolutely gorgeous and a great mind for any level rider. She’s seen all types of wildlife. On all of our adventures, she eats and drinks well while traveling. Come try her out and see for yourself. We look forward to talking to everyone. Feel free to give me a call or text. I do not have a voicemail. Delivery is available anywhere. We expect payment next business day. Thank you in advance!

About Laporte, CO

The town was first settled by French-Canadian fur trappers and mountain men. It was the gateway to all the mountainous region lying north of the South Platte River and extending from the Plains to the Continental Divide. The trappers built cabins here along the Cache la Poudre River as early as 1828, making it the first white settlement in Larimer County. According to legend, a group of fur traders had earlier stashed supplies (including gunpowder) in a cache along the river near Laporte, and that is how the river got its name. It became the home of Antoine Janis in 1844, who is often noted as the first permanent white settler north of the Arkansas River.
