Huck is one of the most excellent mules you’ll ever have a chance at. He is absolutely safe for any level rider; he’s a true babysitter. He is very willing at anything we’ve shown him. Always happy to be there no matter what you’re doing. He is very easy to catch. He is safe and gentle as they come. We have shot off him, as seen in the video .he’s as sure-footed as they get. We use him to gather cows in the rocky mountains in the roughest country. He is a solo pro on the trail, leading or following in a group. He doesn’t have a bad bone in his body. We had him in parades last Christmas. He had to lead everyone past the fire truck with its lights, including the team and carriage in the parade. He is at the right age and has so many years left in him to enjoy. His video speaks for him. He is a very nice-built mule with some withers. We started him at jumping and dressage. He has a big future in either if finished out and wouldn’t take much. If you’re looking for that smooth mule ride and steady pace, He will get you there safe and return safely. He is a top mule, and we look forward to meeting you and showing him to you. You won’t be disappointed. Loads & unloads Great for farrier Great for vets and shots Great with all Equine Great to tack Great to mount and dismount Loves attention First to greet you Traffic safe Walks, trots, lopes Happy, healthy, and sound Please call to schedule a meeting with Huckleberry. About Laporte, CO

The town was first settled by French-Canadian fur trappers and mountain men. It was the gateway to all the mountainous region lying north of the South Platte River and extending from the Plains to the Continental Divide. The trappers built cabins here along the Cache la Poudre River as early as 1828, making it the first white settlement in Larimer County. According to legend, a group of fur traders had earlier stashed supplies (including gunpowder) in a cache along the river near Laporte, and that is how the river got its name. It became the home of Antoine Janis in 1844, who is often noted as the first permanent white settler north of the Arkansas River.
