Quarter Horse Gelding for Sale in Fort Collins, CO

OPEN BIDDING ON THEHORSEBAY,COM. SALE ENDS ON 10/09 @ 1:30PM CT. More information is available on the website, including an UTD vet inspection, Coggins, video, images, and the owner's contact information to ask questions, request information, or make arrangements to come to visit. “IMMORTALS ONLY,” aka Colton, is a stunning gelding! He is a beautiful mover with soft gaits and a laid-back disposition. He has a nice walk and soft jog and will pick up both leads well. Colton enjoys the trails and is willing to adventure all day long; we have taken him all over town by trains, cars, dogs, bikes, etc., up in the mountains on tough terrain. He was used in our lesson program for the last couple of years, babysitting ages 5-15. He is mainly being used for cattle pushing, roping practice, and reining. As a two and 3-year-old, Colton was shown in showmanship and western pleasure classes and even competed in 4-H activities. Colton has excellent ground manners, leads, loads, hauls, is great for the vet and farrier, stands for mount and dismount, comes when called, and is the first to meet you at the gate, leads, bathe, groom, pick feet, saddle, bridle, and stands tied. Colton is even more stunning in person!

About Fort Collins, CO

Fort Collins was founded as a military outpost of the United States Army in 1864. It succeeded a previous encampment, known as Camp Collins, on the Cache La Poudre River, near what is known today as Laporte. Camp Collins was erected during the Indian wars of the mid-1860s to protect the Overland mail route that had been recently relocated through the region. Travelers crossing the county on the Overland Trail would camp there, but a flood destroyed the camp in June 1864. Afterward, the commander of the fort wrote to the commandant of Fort Laramie in southeast Wyoming, Colonel William O.
