Ajax has carried every age group safely throughout the USA trail riding and loves what he does. He is up for anything from trails, English, jumping, arena work, la garrocha, pushing cattle, swimming bareback, play days, and 4h horse, and he’s been ridden in the roughest terrain in 22 different states in the USA. He travels well on the road, eating and drinking en route. He high lines and hobbles both and does well. He is conformationally correct and has nice bone and perfect sturdy feet. He takes a bit and tacks like one should. You can ride him in the trailer, as seen in the video, or point and tell him to load. He backs out very nicely. He knows his leads and lead changes. He is sturdy enough for any size rider. Ajax gets along with everyone in the pasture, mares, and geldings. Ajax is great for the vet, easy to give dewormer, and stands for his shots. This gentleman’s video speaks for him, be sure to watch it all. We look forward to meeting you all. Feel free to call or text me. I will return your call. I do not have a voicemail. About Laporte, CO

The town was first settled by French-Canadian fur trappers and mountain men. It was the gateway to all the mountainous region lying north of the South Platte River and extending from the Plains to the Continental Divide. The trappers built cabins here along the Cache la Poudre River as early as 1828, making it the first white settlement in Larimer County. According to legend, a group of fur traders had earlier stashed supplies (including gunpowder) in a cache along the river near Laporte, and that is how the river got its name. It became the home of Antoine Janis in 1844, who is often noted as the first permanent white settler north of the Arkansas River.
