Arabian Mare for Sale in Slidell, LA
Project Mare- approximately 5 years, not registered or confirmed breed. Should go to trainer, highly experienced rider, or be pasture pet. She wears a breakaway, is very head shy, leads just ok. She is terrified of many things and spooks easily. Doesn't like to be touched, doesn't trailer easily (though I have walked her on). She does have a soft eye and is sweet, but seems very afraid in general. Easy keeper, but loves hay. Had her feet done in May 2022, but had to admin dorm gel and tie her.
About Slidell, LA
One of the earlier settlers to the area was Foster Willie. Along with a younger brother, Wesley Coke Asbury Gause, Judge Wingate, and several others, he left Shallotte, North Carolina, on February 18, and arrived at Pearlington, Mississippi, on April 14, 1836. Wesley and his family remained there, while John and family crossed the Pearl River and built a log cabin on the west bank, a little further south. He then began a lumber mill in the fledgling town later known as Slidell. His traveling back and forth from lumber yard to home created a road known today as Gause Boulevard, a major east/west street in the town.
