Dairy Goat Expenses Comparison
March was a big expense month with the construction of the buck
and wether pen, the purchase of a disbudder and other supplies
for the kids we were expecting for March and April. We replaced
the tent shelter for our main goat pen with a larger car
canopy. And finally we had our usual expenses of feed and
wormer. Alfalfa went up to 15.50/bale and timothy is
22.95/bale.
Tax in our region is
7.10%, though the car canopy was purchase in a different
location and the tax rate there is 9.1%. There is no tax on
services in our state.
