Horse Expenses of February 2011

February had some the coldest temperatures we've experienced in Tucson. We already had blankets for the horses, so we didn't need to purchase anything extra, especially since I did not clip them for the winter. Hay prices were $12.50 / bermuda 3 string bale.

Since fly season is right around the corner and one horse battled a habronema last year, I decided to start in early with the worming.

I'm also starting to include the sales tax, which at the feed store I use is 7.10%

Feed
9 bales of Bermuda Hay       112.50
Supplies
Iverchoice Wormer       15.98
Sales Tax
@ 7.10%       9.12
Farrier
