Thoroughbred Mare for Sale in Tiverton, RI
Suitable for regular light riding. Experience and/or training in dressage, h/j, western, natural horsemanship and some trail riding. Will go in full gear or bit less and bareback. In the 6 years I've had her, she's been handled and ridden by adv.beg. kids, like my now 14 y/o daughter, intermediates as well as advanced adults. Does need experienced handler/rider at times as she can get silly, nothing dangerous just nervous. Has had soundness issues in the past due to hip injury as 3y/o but has always been service-ably sound with regular light work and muscling. Not a picky eater at all and good for vet, farrier, bathing, trailering, clipping, etc. and can be turned out with anyone. Located in Tiverton, RI. Pics/videos available.
About Tiverton, RI
Tiverton was incorporated by English colonists in 1694 within Bristol County in the Province of Massachusetts Bay. In 1746, in the final settlement of a long colonial boundary dispute between Rhode Island and Massachusetts, Tiverton was annexed to Rhode Island by Royal Decree (together with its fellow towns along the eastern shore of Narragansett Bay, Barrington, Bristol and Little Compton, and the town of Cumberland, to the north of Providence). Tiverton was incorporated as a town of Rhode Island in 1747. Until that year, Tiverton also controlled the area of East Freetown, Massachusetts, as an outpost. The boundary settlement of 1746 had put East Freetown in Massachusetts, and in 1747 it was purchased by Freetown.
