Thoroughbred Mare for Sale in Boulder City, NV

2010 OTTB mare in search of a forever home with an advanced rider or confident intermediate rider working with a trainer. She is bold, brave and thinks through things...great mind! With a slow and correct restart after a short race career, Pepper has superb ground work skills with natural horsemanship techniques, easy to handle and well mannered. Under saddle she is solid at the walk, trot and canter in the arena with simple lead changes and starting flying changes. Has been schooled on Intro dressage tests in a small court, has good lateral work, has practiced competitive trail obstacles, was started over low fences summer 2016 and has free jumped 2'6". Big, floating gaits; will ease into a frame and stretch through her back for a confident rider with soft hands. This lovely mare ready to take the next step in her career with her special human. Will that be you? Photos and videos available upon request. Serious inquiries only, please.

About Boulder City, NV

The land upon which Boulder City was founded was a harsh, desert environment. Its sole reason for existence was the need to house workers contracted to build the Hoover Dam on the Colorado River (known commonly as Boulder Dam from 1933 to 1947, when it was officially renamed Hoover Dam by a joint resolution of Congress). Men hoping for work on the dam project had begun settling along the river in tents soon after the precise site for the dam had been chosen by the Bureau of Reclamation in 1930. Their ramshackle edifices were collectively known as "Ragtown". Boulder City was originally built in 1931 by the Bureau of Reclamation and Six Companies, Inc.
