Quarter Horse Gelding for Sale in Canton, GA

Blue is a sweet natured grey qh gelding who is 14 years old and 15.1 hands tall. He stands, ties, leads, and loads in trailer. he does well for a bath. He is low in the pecking order in a herd. Easy to catch when on pasture. He does not crib, respects fencing, and has good stall manners. He is easy to handle. Blue is great for the farrier, excellent hooves and does not require shoes, currently barefoot.Blue does have a melanoma on his eye lid. The vet says its not growing and is nothing to be concerned about, and should just be kept an eye on. He has full vision in his eye and it does not bother of affect him at all. He is broke to ride and has been ridden both english and western, he does neck rein. He is good for saddling, bridling, and mounting. He rides in a smooth snaffle bit. We would recommend an advanced beginner rider for Blue. He has been trail ridden extensively. He has been exposed to water, bridges, traffic, dogs, and is very safe. He is not buddy or barn sour. He's looking for his own special person. His owner is asking $800. Video available soon. check out starryeyedstables.com for contact info

About Canton, GA

Located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, the site where Canton would be founded lay in the heart of the Cherokee Nation. During the first 100 years of Georgia's history, Northwest Georgia was generally considered "Indian Country" and was bypassed by settlers going West. Georgia had made a treaty with the federal government in 1802 shortly after the Revolutionary War to relinquish its Western Territory (it claimed the Pacific Ocean as its western boundary) in exchange for the removal of all Indians within its boundaries. Although other tribes had been removed, the Cherokee remained. Since this was the heartland of the Cherokee Nation, the state and nation were reluctant to disturb them.
