Ballina is a 7 year old mare by Popeye K. She has a soft and fluid style. Smooth across the ground, easy to sit, and very comfortable over the jumps. She has a big, quiet step with lots of scope and balance. Ballina is correct, appealing, and jumps with a consistently good front end. She is a good mover with a steady rhythm and a great expression. She is a kind horse with a good brain and lots of athleticism for competitive jr / ams. Ballina is easy to show, has a fantastic sense of humor, a solid work ethic, and a great willingness to forgive and forget. She was bred in 2010 to Candillo Junior and produced a fantastic colt born in April. Ballina is a stunning mare with chrome (4 white socks / blaze) and a raccoon tail (looks highlighted) . Before becoming pregnant, she was schooling 3' courses and attended a few schooling shows. She is green but will come along quickly in a program. Limited prep required. Responsive to the leg and does not require spurs. Schooling lead changes and goes in a D - ring snaffle. Has been slowly brought back to work after weaning. Currently in a program being ridden 6 days / week and ready to show. No health / lameness issues. She has excellent ground - manners and is always enjoyable to work with.
