Thoroughbred Mare for Sale in Monroe, WA

Tattooed, TB mare. Brown (or I like to call it black bay) with a star. I don't have her papers, but a tattoo search through the Jockey Club could turn them up. Sweet and gentle on the ground, lots of energy under saddle. Goes English nicely. Former racehorse, then broodmare is moving to the next stage in her life. Has been led around with kids on her. Currently getting a tune - up by a pony clubber. Consistent riding will help to get her back into condition and reach her full potential. Best suited for a confident, intermediate rider. Lots of miles left in this girl. Loads, clips, hauls, bathes, shoes, vets. Been there, done that. Up to date on worming, farrier and shots, except West Nile. Does well with other horses.

About Monroe, WA

The confluence of the Skykomish and Snoqualmie rivers had originally belonged to the indigenous Skykomish tribe, who predominantly occupied the area between modern-day Monroe and Index. The confluence itself was known as Tualco ( Lushootseed: squa'lxo), and a nearby Skykomish village named S'dodohobc acted as a trade post between several Coast Salish groups. The land around the confluence was cleared into a prairie and used to cultivate berries, hazelnuts, and other plants. The Skykomish were among the tribes to sign the Treaty of Point Elliott in 1855, effectively ceding their traditional territories, including the Tulaco and confluence areas. The area around modern-day Monroe was surveyed by George B.
