Quarter Horse Mare for Sale in Poynette, WI
Great beginner or kid~s horse. Karen is a gentle and easy going 13 yr
old Dun Quarter Horse mare. She is registered with AQHA. Her sire is
Skipster Deck, with ties to Skipster, Roy Deck and Skipper Jr. Her dam
was out of Bar~s Dream Bar and Karen has many show records on her
grandparents side. She is broke to ride and great with kids. Karen is
used to other horses, dogs and children. All of our horses are easy
going, love attention and handled by our young children without issues.
She has had regular hoof trimming every 8-10 weeks, along with being
up to date on vaccine and worming schedules. She currently is 14. 0
hands and about 975 lbs. Karen loves attention and is very easy going

About Poynette, WI
Poynette was named after Pierre Paquette (1796–1836), an early fur trader and settler of south central Wisconsin. When an application was made for a post office in the settlement, Paquette's name was misread as Poynette, and the post office was mistakenly named "Poynette". The village was then named after the post office. The community was incorporated in 1892.
