Tennessee Walking Mare for Sale in Langston, AL

Any little girl that has read the book "Black Beauty" should fall in love with Miss Satin. Purchased to be my personal horse, I didn't realize her owner had medicated her so I wouldn't see that she has arthritis in her rear legs that sometimes causes some stiffness, although it doesn't appear to be painful. Satin is a lovely, gentle horse that deserves a home where she will be loved and cherished. She would be an excellent choice for a small child to be led, or for a light - weight beginner that wants a gentle horse for very light riding. Satin gets around really well, doesn't limp and is in otherwise excellent weight / condition. She loves attention, loves to be groomed, bathed, and stands for farrier with no problem. She loads, ties and would make some child a wonderful new best friend.

About Langston, AL

Langston was settled in the 1810s, and was initially known as "Coffeetown" after the Coffee brothers, who were among the early settlers. A post office was established in 1845 with Langston Coffee as the first postmaster. In 1869, most of Coffeetown's residents moved to Texas, and the following year, James Morgan sold lots for the creation of a new town. The new town was named "Langston" after Langston Coffee. Langston initially thrived as a river port along the Tennessee River, eventually growing to include nine stores and a blacksmith shop.
