Eventing, Dressage, HUS you Name it!

Due to his owner's debilitating arthritis and other physical disabilities we are placing this wonderful stallion up for sale. We have owned Gawain since he was a weanling. He has been a special part of our lives and we are heartbroken that we must sell him, though through no fault of his own. Gawain is a 16.1hh+ Friesian Sport Horse stallion (50/50 Friesian & Thoroughbred) registered with the Canadian Friesian Horse Association. Gawain has been DNA'd, Microchipped and Parentage Verified. We also own Gawain's sire, Willem Alexander; Purebred FHANA/KFPS registered Friesian Stallion. Gawain is homozygous black so he will never produce a red based foal such as a chestnut or palomino. Gawain's disposition is second to none. He has what we call a "puppy dog disposition". He adores human interaction and attention and is very gentle with people and he is extremely willing to learn and work. He has even been known to become jealous when he sees other horses being worked with. This boy has so much potential and we are looking for the perfect home for him where his full potential can be realized. He has supreme movement and natural collection, elasticity and extension. Gawain will do the best he possibly can to make you proud, he loves to please and loves to be worked with. Although he has not been started under saddle, he has been tacked up and lunged. He has all his basic ground training and is very well mannered. Gawain will require an experienced horse person and/or access to a trainer with plenty of stallion experience to put him under saddle. Gawain is a very well mannered boy but he IS an intact stallion and has been used for breeding. Every single one of Gawain's foals have sold within weeks of being born (in most cases within days) and several have been purchased as Dressage/HUS/Eventing prospects. All Gawain's foals have had the same loving disposition as their sire. Pictures of his progeny are available upon request.
