Quarter Horse Gelding for Sale in Moseley, VA

Consider it Dun is a 9 year old, 15h gelding. He was Reserve Champion for Hunter Pleasure in 2013 in the local Greater Richmond Circuit. He has been schooled in cross country courses. He was foxhunted first and second flight last season. He is a very bold jumper and is extremely willing over fences. He is also quiet and relaxed on trails. He doesn't mind going out by himself. He does prefer an experienced rider with a decent seat. He is a more forward type of ride. He is a great prospect for eventing and would do well in dressage with the right rider. He is not registered. His price is negotiable. About Moseley, VA

It was a stop on the Farmville and Powhatan Railroad from 1891 to 1905, and then on the Tidewater and Western Railroad from 1905 to 1917. It was also a stop on the Richmond and Danville Railroad, which became the Southern Railway (U.S.), and then the Norfolk Southern Railway in 1982, which no longer stops in Moseley. In the 1800s some people would transfer from one railroad to another here, although they had separate Stations. In 1891 the train did not always stop but a railroad car, although not a Railway post office, on the Farmville and Powhatan Railroad, dropped off and picked up mail using the Mail on-the-fly technique. This was a hook and pouch system that let the train drop off and pick up mail without slowing down.
