Pony Mare for Sale in Willis, TX

Gypsy is a 3-4 year old paint pony that we purchased in 2013 as a rescue. She is green broke and is now looking for her forever home. I have a wonderful poster about her with more information, pictures and videos you can see of her along with her adoption contract on Latigo- https://latigo.co/poster/view-poster/c7d4613e-700c-4786-ae36-ed21c4d15379 She would be a great project pony for someone willing to put more time into her and get her some training and miles. She has mostly been a pasture pet at our house. She is too young and does not have enough experience to have kids put on her yet. I am in Willis TX and if you are interested in seeing her let me know!

About Willis, TX

Before the founding of Willis, most residents in the area lived in a settlement known as Danville, formed four miles west of present-day New Waverly in the 1830s. A few Danville residents in the 1850s settled south of Danville in what is now Willis. Several of these early Danville residents were large slave plantation owners. About 600 of the estimated 1,000 early Danville residents in the 1850s were slaves. After the Civil War, many recently freed slaves lived in the Willis area, establishing Thomas Chapel United Methodist Church in 1867, the oldest church in Willis.
