Arabian Mare for Sale in Bark River, MI
Asia is a 21 year old, flea - bitten gray Arab mare. Excellent trail
horse, will ride through just about anything. Has a lot of energy
but is not hot. Traffic safe and not spooky. Trailers great, stands
for fly spray, tack and rider, ties, good for vet, farrier, wormings,
etc. Stands about 14. 1 hh. Has nice, smooth gaits. Rides Western
or bareback. Is good in an arena also. Will lead or follow. Has been
ridden out alone. Not for a total beginner as she is responsive to cues.

It was first settled in 1871 by civil war hero Captain Charles Pease, who served as an escort and guide for land speculator Lars Kovala at the time. Was given a post office and named Barkville on Nov 30 1877. Its first postmaster was Luke D. McKenna. It was renamed Bark River in 1882.
