Arabian X Saddlebred Cross for Sale

It is with great sadness that I am offering up my gelding for sale. I have had him for a year, but do not feel I can offer him the future he deserves. Watcher is a gorgeous 11 year old National Show Horse (Arabian/Saddlebred) formally trained in saddle seat and English Country Pleasure. Watcher had a successful show career from 2012-2016, was the 2013 Arabian Horse Celebration Reserve Champion, and placed Top 5 in the Region 14 Half-Arabian Country English Pleasure. He’s spent the past year taking time off from the show ring with casual riding and taking some time to be a horse. Watcher is known in the barn for his phenomenal and curious personality. He is an extremely sweet horse who loves being in your pocket and spending time with you. Would be best with a confident intermediate or above rider that can provide him with consistent work. He’s not a beginner horse, as he needs a job and can be too sensitive for a beginner. Common to the breed, he requires an assertive and confident handler who can maintain his focus as he feeds off of his rider’s energy and can get nervous with a hesitant rider. He has gorgeous, forward, gaits and a smooth, large stride. Has been ridden on trails and could do well in many disciplines, but excels in English. Stands great for farrier and vet, and stands well tied to be groomed and tacked. Does well stalled or on pasture with other horses. Is currently barefoot, but is flat-footed and does well in shoes. Currently UTD on trimming, vaccination, and deworming. I’m currently selling him as I cannot give him the direction or job he needs to thrive, and am looking for a horse more suitable for casual riding. A home that can provide him with a job and a future is a must! Not motivated to part with him immediately, so will wait until the perfect home comes along. PM for details.
