Arabian Mare for Sale in Bulverde, TX

Shiraz came to BEHS as part of a neglect case in 2011. Shiraz is a nice mare who leads, loads, and stands tied. She stands for the farrier, grooming, fly spraying and saddling. She’s easy to saddle and bridle, and she spent a week in September 2012 with a trainer for evaluation. He thinks someone got her green broke years ago and then did nothing else with her. She can be spooky and reactive, and she does not like anything touching her back legs. She has bucked when scared under saddle. However her current foster home has been preparing her for the 2013 Bluebonnet Rescue Horse Training Challenge and she’s doing great under saddle! She is a gorgeous mover who could be a nice open show or lower level dressage horse if someone took the time to work with her. Available for adoption (with contract) from Bluebonnet Equine Humane Society. No breeding or resales.
