7 Year Old AQHA Sooty Buckskin Gelding

I have a 7 year old sooty buckskin gelding for sale. He will turn 8 on June 21st. He is Foundation bred. He goes back to Sun Frost, King, Poco Bueno, Jaguar, Sailalong, and Doc Bar. He is the perfect mix of a lot of great cow horses. He has been to team penning events and did wonderfully. He has been taken to many barrel and pole bending events. He excells in poles. Consistant 3D horse. Has the potential to move up to 1D-2D. He has had 60 days of natural horsemanship training this past fall. Will walk, jog, lope right off. Works off of leg pressure and neck reins. Needs an experienced rider as he does tend to push his limits. He prefers men to women. I was told that he was started in reining before I bought him. He will do short sliding stops and is awesome at roll backs. With a little work, he could become your next reiner. He has been to pony rides, petting zoos, parades, and 4H and FFA events. TRAFFIC SAFE!!!! I also used him as a trail riding horse for the tours in Gettysburg when I worked there. Gets along with mares and geldings, but will find a single horse to buddy up with. Can get pushy with younger colts/fillies. Loads and unloads on and off of the trailer. Travels well. Utd on coggins and regular farrier work. He is currently barefoot and has nice small, strong feet. Although I did have him shod in the front while he was working the trails in Gettysburg. Stands for baths, clipping, and grooming. Had teeth floated in September 2014. All around he is a nice horse. Very gentle while working with him. Selling due to not enough time. He needs a rider who can ride more than twice a week. Great horse, great color, great bloodlines.
