"Norman" has been used in our lesson program for 6 years. He has been our "go-to-guy". We are discontinuing our program and are offering "Norman" for sale. He has been used for children and adults, and for riders of all levels. First time riders with no prior horse experience have easily led, groomed, tacked up, and had their first lesson on him. He moves easily around the arena; walk, trot, canter, western, showmanship, 4-H games, and hunter. He has shown over fences from crossrails up to 2'9" and has schooled 3' at home. He has flying changes. He has successfully shown outside, inside, at 4-H, open, and APHA. He has a nice jog, goes in frame, and can also move out in a 10+ flat-kneed trot. He placed first out of over 50 competitors in the 4-H Huntseat Pleasure at the NYS Fair. He loads, trailers, ties, stands quietly for the farrier and vet. Children easily bathe him. "Norman" has been trail ridden, and been on hunter paces for fun. He was originally purchased as an investment, but his quiet and gentle demeanor was so impressive, that after trying him in a few lessons he quickly became a favorite among the students. "Norman" is a very good babysitter, and would be an excellent first horse, or show horse for a novice, amateur, or youth. He is worth his weight in gold!

About Elbridge, NY
The Village of Elbridge was located on a well-traveled Indian trail that eventually became New York State Route 5. Several waterways, principally Skaneateles Creek and Carpenter's Brook, provided water power and sustenance. As the town and village expanded with the arrival of new settlers, businesses such as mills, taverns and shops were established. Many industries were located on Skaneateles Creek, including several chair factories and the Amphion Piano Player Company. The Elbridge Electrical Manufacturing Company made electric motors and produced the first electric starter for automobiles.
