The North American Young Riders’ Championships (NAYRC) to be held August 10-15, 2004 at Tempel Farms in Wadsworth, IL. Tempel Farms has been a frequent setting for the Championships over the years, having hosted the Championships 14 times. The Championships have taken place at various other locations in North America on a rotating basis. The North American Young Riders’ Championships is the premier equestrian competition in North America for young riders, ages 16-21. Young equestrians come from the United States, Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico, and the Caribbean Islands to vie for the Championships. Riders compete in the three Olympic equestrian disciplines of Show Jumping, Dressage, and Eventing. Run under rules of the FEI (Fédération Equestre Internationale, the international governing body for equestrian sport), the NAYRC frequently gives young riders their first taste of international competition.
