Round up your working-cow horses and head out to Cross 9 Ranch in Spiceland, Indiana, for the Seventh Annual Cross 9 Cow Working Clinic, September 25-26, 2004. Even if you don’t think your horse is “working-cow” material, come on out and give it a try. First-timers and veteran ranch riders are welcome! Bill and Linda Black of Cross 9 Ranch will lead the clinic on all areas of working cattle on a ranch in a fun learning atmosphere, beginning at 10 a.m. on both days. Join us Saturday for overall horsemanship, roping techniques, herd work, ranch sorting, and ranch cutting. Then the bonfire gets started on Saturday evening for cowboy poetry and entertainment. Sunday’s schedule will include gathering, sorting, roping, and care and handling of cattle. Clinic registration is $200 per horse-and-rider combination for the weekend, which includes a continental breakfast on Saturday and lunch on both days.
