Wellington, FL –January 25, 2003 – Peter Lutz aboard Maroline from Katona, New York with a time of 77.820 seconds, in a lightening-fast jump-off edged out McLain Ward by one tenth of a second to win the Nutrena/Western Hay Wellington Classic. Yann Candele on MC’s Marco Taere from Canada placed a close third. Thirty five horses attempted the Los Angeles Olympic Silver Medalist’s, Conrad Homfeld’s, difficult and twisting course at The Winter Equestrian Festival.

Tickets to the Winter Equestrian Festival are available by phone at 793-JUMP or at the gate. Admission is free on Wednesdays. Children 12 & under are free all days. Senior admission is $5 every day. Adult admission is $5 on Thursday and Friday, $10 on Saturday, and $15 on Sunday. Parking is free.
