Gladstone, NJ-August 9, 2000-The United States Equestrian Team (USET)
announces the resignation, effective immediately, of Jane Forbes Clark from
her positions as Trustee, Officer and Committee Member of the USET.
Recently elected as Chairman of the National Baseball Hall of Fame and
Museum, Clark is stepping down from her official positions with the USET to
"focus on the needs of the Hall of Fame while maintaining my family's legacy
of support to this wonderful institution," she said.
"I have truly enjoyed my years of service as a Trustee of the USET, and I
shall continue to be active as an owner and supporter," Clark added. Clark
will continue to serve as a member of United States Olympic Committee (USOC)
Board of Directors and the Federation Equestre Internationale (FEI) Bureau
and Executive Board.
"We deeply appreciate the support, wisdom, and time that Jane has given the
USET over the years," said Finn M. W. Caspersen, Chairman and Chief Executive
Officer of the USET. "We will miss her direct involvement in Team
leadership, but are gratified by her ongoing support of the U.S. Equestrian
Team. As Jane has said, she has run out of hours in the day to accomplish
all that needs to be done," he added. "We congratulate the National Baseball
Hall of Fame and Museum on their superb choice of Jane Forbes Clark as their
Chairman."
The United States Equestrian Team is a non-profit organization that selects,
