Peter Wylde Named Leading Rider at CSI-W Geneva

GLADSTONE, NEW JERSEY-December 10, 2003-U.S. show jumping
rider Peter Wylde was named Leading Rider at CSI-W Geneva. Wylde, a
double Silver Medalist at the 1999 Pan American Games and individual
Bronze Medalist at the 2002 World Equestrian Games (WEG), was awarded a
new Land Rover for his consistently-successful performances during the
international show jumping competition.
In the final event of the week, the Rolex Grand Prix World
Cup Qualifier, Wylde placed third on Fein Cera (Holsteiner,
Landadel-Cera, owned by Turnabout Farm Inc.), his 2002 Bronze Medal
mount who was named Best Horse of the Show Jumping World Championships
held at the WEG. Wylde and Fein Cera turned in one of only four double
clear rides in the Rolex Grand Prix to place third behind Thomas Velin
of Denmark and Otto Becker of Germany.
Wylde also won two classes on Felix des Noues, had third and
fifth place finishes on Melvin, and a fourth on Quo Vadis.
Also competing at Geneva was the U.S.'s Beezie Madden. The
2003 Pan American Games team Gold Medalist won one class on Desilvio
(KWPN, Silvio II - Grazia, owned by Abigail Wexner), placed third in
another on Conquest II (KWPN, Concorde - Fernod, owned by Joseph Patton)
and had a fifth on Authentic (KWPN, Guidam - Gerlinda, owned by John
Madden Sales). Madden also placed ninth on Authentic in the FEI Gandini
Top Ten Final, an exclusive year-end championship event won by
three-time World Cup champion Rodrigo Pessoa of Brazil. Madden was the
only female among the ten riders who qualified for the Top Ten Final.
