Kimberly Frey Leads USET World Equestrian Games Show Jumping Selection
Trials at the Conclusion of Trial #1
Del Mar, CA- July 20, 2002-Kimberly Frey of Hume, VA and Bergerac
lead a starting field of 38 horse-and-rider combinations after the first
of six United States Equestrian Team (USET) Show Jumping Selection
Trials. The trials for the World Equestrian Games to be held this
September in Jerez, Spain began Saturday at the Del Mar Horse Park in
Del Mar, CA.
Out of the starting field, seven horse-and-rider combinations
turned in clear rounds. Those who lead the field after their penalty
free rides on Saturday are:
- Kimberly Frey/ Bergerac
- Lauren Hough/ Clasiko
- Christ Kappler/ Rafiki
- Beezie Madden/ Judgement
- Nicole Shahinian Simpson/ El Campeon's Cirka Z
- Will Simpson/ El Campeon's Add Annie
- Ray Texel/ Lexicon
Competition continues Sunday in Del Mar with selection trials two
and three. The site of competition will then move to The Oaks/Blenheim
in San Juan Capistrano, CA for trials four through six on July 26-28.
