short-listed horse rider combinations and alternates will then be required
to participate in a Mandatory Short List Outing in The Plains, Virginia on
August 16-17.
Following the Mandatory Short List Outing, the USET will ship
eight short-listed horses to England for additional training with Captain
Phillips. On September 9, the final squad of seven horses will be named and
will travel to Spain for the Games. The selection of the four
horse-and-rider combinations that will ride on the team and the two
horse-and-rider combinations who will compete as individuals will be made
after arrival in Spain.
