Four USET Riders Receive FEI World Cup Silver Medal

Gladstone, NJ—May 21, 2002—Four United States Equestrian Team (USET) show
jumping riders—Debbie Stephens, Chris Kappler, Robert Ridland and Will
Simpson—were presented with the FEI World Cup Silver Medal at the 2002 FEI
World Cup Final in Leipzig, Germany on Saturday, May 4, 2002.
The prestigious award is given to riders who have competed in 100 World Cup
show jumping competitions. World Cup Director Max E. Ammann presented the
medals.
Since the inception of the World Cup Series in 1979, 55 riders
have been honored with the World Cup Silver Medal. Previous USET riders to
receive the award include Leslie Howard, Mark Leone, Hap Hansen, Katie
Prudent, Margie Goldstein, Barney Ward, Peter Leone, Tim Grubb, Donald
Cheska, Michael Matz, Susie Hutchison, Eric Hasbrouck, Anne Kursinski, Joe
Fargis, Norman Dello Joio and Beezie Madden.
The United States Equestrian Team is a non-profit organization that selects,
trains, equips and finances equestrians of the highest possible standard to
represent our country in major international competition, including the
