Spectators are welcome to attend this competition, which will be the final opportunity for the USEF Eventing Selectors to observe these combinations in a competition setting before the naming of the Olympic Team. Veterinary inspections will be conducted on all horses on July 14th and 15th at the USEF Olympic Training Center in Gladstone, New Jersey. The Olympic Team will be announced on July 16th. The five team members along with an anticipated 5 additional replacement combinations will ship to the United Kingdom to train on July 18th. They will stay in the UK until shipping to Athens on August 10th.

"We are very fortunate to have a great deal of depth in both horse and riders from which to select our Team for Athens. We have a strong group on this Short List and we believe we will be sending a very competitive team to the Olympic Games. We are very much looking forward to the challenge in Athens," said James Wolf, USEF Director of Eventing Activities.
