Hubbuch Wins Pony Jumper National Championship

Jill Hubbuch, 15, of Pataskala, OH, won the 2003 HorseCity.com/USAE Pony
Jumper National Championship, individual competition, which has been
named as a USA Junior Olympic - Equestrian event. Riding Little
Freebie, Hubbuch, also a member of the United States Pony Club team,
bested the field of riders from across the nation to take top honors in
the individual competition. As the individual champion, she was awarded
the Swan Creek Farm Perpetual Trophy donated by Bill Moroney in honor of
Alvin and Patsy Topping, a Triple Crown Custom cooler, a gift
certificate for a pair of custom made Der Dau boots. The event was held
August 5 - 6, as part of the 2003 State Line Tack Pony Finals held at
The Andrews School in Willoughby, OH.
The reserve champion in the individual competition was Julianna Fischer
of Lake Worth, FL, riding Indigo. Fischer also displayed the best
classical jumping style during the three days of competition and was
honored with the Short Stop Perpetual Trohpy donated by Bill Moroney for
the Style Award.

Zone Four riders rose to the occasion to take the top sport in the 2003
HorseCity.com Pony Jumper National Championship team competition.
Alexandra King of North Palm Beach, FL, riding Double Delight, Caroline
Woods of Fort Myers, FL, riding Longacre Lavender (Welsh; Longacre
Spinoff - Longacre Ditto), Julianna Fischer of Lake Worth, FL, riding
Indigo, and Elliot Popper of Wellington, FL, riding Maestro 4 (Dutch),
brought home the gold in this USA Junior Olympic - Equestrian
competition and were awarded the Willow Grove Perpetual Trophy donated
by Bill Moroney in honor of his parents, Edward and Lorraine Moroney.

of Pittsfield, MA, riding IRON CLAD ALIBI; Stephanie Fialco of Old Lyme,
CT, riding HOT FUDGE; Arielle Bluestein of Mansfield, MA, riding COUNTRY
GIRL and Debbie Kaufman of Easton, CT, riding GUESS WHO
- Bronze Medal Team - Zone 5; team members include Rebecca Young
of Kirkland, IL, riding SIMPLY IRRESTIBLE (AQHA; Hesa Shoshoni Doc - My
Gal Impressive); Allison Terry of Brecksville, OH, riding LISETER FUN
'N' STUFF (Welsh Cross: JLA Sir William -x Veronica Lane); Alexandra
Morefield of Elburn, IL, riding BULL RUNS HOT FLASH, and Gisela Hackmann
of Columbus, OH, riding I TOLDYOU SO
Judges for the Pony Jumper National Championship were Patrick Rhodes of
Argyle, TX, and Gary Sylvester of Norton, OH.
