Jeffery Receives Fifth Course Designer Of The Year Award

Richard Jeffery of Dorsett, UK, has been selected as the recipient of the
Mr. & Mrs. William C. Cox Memorial Trophy as the 2002 Show Jumping Course
Designer of the Year for the fifth time. He also received this award in
1989, 1990, 1994 and 1999.
Courses designed by Jeffery included courses at the Kentucky Spring Classic
(Lexington, KY), Bayer/USET Festival of Champions (Gladstone, NJ) and the
Pennsylvania National (Harrisburg, PA).
The winner of the Mr. & Mrs. William C. Cox Memorial Trophy is determined
annually by eligible U.S. Competitors on the Grand Prix Jumping Circuit.
Donated in 1958 by the Cox family, the award memorializes Mr. and Mrs.
William C. Cox who were ardent supporters of grand prix jumping in the
United States.
The presentation of the award will be made at the Pegasus Awards Dinner to
be held January 17, during the USA Equestrian Annual Meeting in Lexington,
