The FEI announced today that U.S. Grand Prix Jumping Rider, Robert Chelberg, based in Prague, CZE, won the Central European League which qualifies him to compete at the World Cup Final in Leipzig (GER), May 1-5, 2002 as an additional U.S. rider. Chelberg finished the League 16 points ahead of Hungarian rider Jozsef Turi who finished 6th in the Individual standings at the World Equestrian Games in Rome (ITA), 1998.

The Central European League Final was held in Poznan (POL) on December 7 - 9, 2001 where Chelberg competed on his 11-year-old Russian Trakehner stallion, Aktiv (by Vypas out of Aktisa).
