NEWS RELEASE
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
November 28, 2001
The 2001 USA Reining Seat Medal Finals will be held on February 22-23, 2002,
at the Los Angeles Equestrian Center in Burbank, California.
The Reining Seat Medal offers a unique twist to the traditional pattern as
it combines the customary maneuvers of reining with equitation to create a
picture of complete horsemanship. Special honors include the High Score
Junior Exhibitor and Amateur, High Pattern Score, Youngest Rider and the
Westland Farms Sportsmanship trophy. New this year is the High Equitation
Score trophy. The USA Reining Seat Medal class is open to junior exhibitor
and amateur riders showing any breed of horse.
The qualifying period for the 2001 Finals runs from February 10, 2001
through February 16, 2002. The USA Reining Seat Medal qualifying classes
may be held at USA Equestrian and non-member competitions by contacting the
Breeds & Western Disciplines Department.
