NEWS RELEASE
For Immediate Release
September 21, 2001
USA Equestrian (formerly AHSA) announced today that its Driving Committee
has recommended that the 2001 AHSA National Combined Driving Pony
Championships (for singles, pairs, and teams) be relocated from the
Wethersfield CDE, which was recently canceled, to the Fair Hill
International CDE in Elkton, MD, October 25-27, 2001. The relocation is
subject to the formal approval of the Executive Committee.
Combining the AHSA National Combined Driving Pony Championships with the
already-scheduled AHSA Combined Driving Singles Championship for horses will
help make the Fair Hill International CDE the premier combined driving event
of the fall.
In discussing the relocation, Jill Ryder, chair of the USA Equestrian
Driving Committee, reported that the Fair Hill organizers said they would be
delighted to host the ponies.
