Hermes, as part of a creative new partnership with two of the country's top show hunter riders, will present an exciting and innovative show hunter clinic on September 7th and 8th in Lake Forest, Illinois. Winning Strategies for the Show Hunter Ring is a two-day clinic with both Peter Pletcher and Lyman T Whitehead as clinicians. Presented in concert with Brookwood Farm, the first of its kind two-day clinic is an opportunity for both riders and auditors to learn jumping, training and showing techniques that can pay dividends in the show ring from two of the country's top show hunter riders and trainers.
Hermes has teamed with Brookwood Farm to offer the inaugural Winning Strategies for the Show Hunter Ring for the benefit of riders in the greater Chicago area. Peter Pletcher of Magnolia, Texas and Lyman T. Whitehead of North Salem, New York have collaborated to present riders and auditors an exciting and challenging two-day program specifically designed for show hunters. The two-day clinic will offer three divisions for riders: a 3-foot division for children and adult amateurs, a 3'6 division for juniors and amateurs, and a professional or advanced division.
Auditors are also invited to benefit from observing the sessions which will include equitation, jumping and training techniques that can make the difference between winning or just participating in today's competitive show arena.
Hermes' Winning Strategies for the Show Hunter Ring cannot be classified as just another riding clinic. Focusing on what judges look for in the show ring, the clinic will be an education forum for understanding the dynamics of today's competitive show hunters. With the involvement of two clinicians, riders and auditors will be benefit from demonstrations by these accomplished professionals on how to properly ride an exercise or course accompanied by expert commentary on form, fitness and riding styles that are essential to success in the show ring today. Additionally, both riders and auditors will be treated to lunch and refreshments compliments of Hermes.
Rider participation in Hermes' Winning Strategies for the Show Hunter Ring is $300. for the two day clinic and is available on a first come, first served basis. Interested riders are urged to register as soon as possible to ensure availability. Auditor's fees in advance are $50 per day and $60 per day at the door. All rider and auditor's fees include lunch.
