Some of the best horses and riders in the United States and Canada will be converging on Temecula, California for the Galway Downs Three Day Event, November 1 - 3. Galway Downs is becoming a national player on the Three Day Eventing scene. Event Organizer Robert Kellerhouse is committed to producing high quality events. “We have the only CCI** and CCI* on the West Coast, and we are trying to create a place for all levels of eventing riders.”

Both Jaguar and the Riverside Press Enterprise are title sponsors of this years event. Both the CCI** and the CCI* are USA Equestrian National Championship events. In addition, young riders in the CCI** are competing for the Fritz Cup presented to the National Young Rider Champion. A Junior Olympic title will be awarded to the highest placed junior in the CCI**.

With fifty plus entries in the CCI* and almost forty in the CCI** spectators are assured keen competition. Over the course of the event, $12,000 in prize money will be awarded. In addition to horses and riders from throughout the western United States, a handful of riders are making the trek from various Canadian provinces, thus creating an international flair.

Results, scores, and brief summaries of each day’s competition will be posted on the Galway Downs website throughout the competition at www.galwaydowns.com.

Spectators are encouraged to visit Galway Downs and enjoy national-level eventing combined with delights of the Temecula area. There will be wine tasting from local vineyards, a canine flyball demonstration, and an art show highlighting regional artists.
