AHSA Names Riders for Junior Dressage Championship

The American Horse Shows Association (AHSA) announced today that selection
for the AHSA Junior Dressage Championship has been completed and the 12
Juniors that will attend the 2001 Junior Dressage Team Championship in
Gladstone, NJ, June 14-17, 2001 have been chosen. This year's qualifying
average scores ranged from 65.66 to 72.84. The competition, now in its
fifth year, is sponsored by Cosequin and is being held this year at the
Festival of Champions. These Juniors will then go on to the North American
Junior Dressage Championship at Paxton Farm, Batavia, OH, June 28-July 1,
2001, and will constitute three of the four teams to represent the United
States. The United States Pony Club will also be selecting an additional
team to represent the U.S.

The American Horse Shows Association, as the National Equestrian
Federation of the U.S., is the regulatory body for the Olympic and World
Championship sports of dressage, driving, endurance, eventing, reining, show
jumping, and vaulting, as well as 19 other breeds and disciplines of
