Tom Noone maintained his tenth position today after the final round at the
Dressage World Cup Finals in Aarhus, Denmark from April 6-8, 2001. Noone
and the 13 year-old Westphalian stallion, Fresco, owned by Francine
Weiner-Govostes from Canton, MA, completed their World Cup debut on a score
of 65% for their Freestyle to Music performance.
"He was more nervous and tense because the atmosphere was highly charged,"
said Noone. "We had some very nice moments but he stopped listening from
time to time." Even so, Noone was very pleased with Fresco who was only
competing in his third indoor show.
Germany's Ulla Saltgeber and Rusty were crowned World Cup champions after
holding on to their lead ahead of their compatriots, Isabell Werth with
Anthony FRH and Rudolph Zellinger on Livijno who reversed their positions in
the final round.
