The United States Dressage Federation has invited two riders to the USDF
national convention in Cincinnati. Performing a pas d'deux at the Black &
White Evening of Elegance fundraiser on December 1 will be Chris Lipe
(Georgia) and Mary Green (Michigan). Chris recently rode Janet Brown's grand
prix partner Helloh Handsome at the North American Young Riders'
Championships at High Prairie. Mary will arrive home from the Paralympics in
Sydney, Australia just in time for the Convention.
The dressage riders will share the spotlight in Cincinnatti with Proud
Meadows Fresians and the Tempel Lipizzans, maintaining the black and white
benefit theme. The performance is being organized by Carrie Schwartz,
Beecher, Illinois, and horses will be provided by Linda Fritsch, South Bend,
Indiana. Paxton Farms is the host facility for the benefit. ACORD
Executive Director Judy Serie Nagy, San Jose, California says, "The
opportunity to perform in front of a national group of dressage enthusiasts
is one that is very thrilling for us. Our sport has grown so fast and our
riders are becoming so very accomplished. This USDF convention will give us
the opportunity to show the able-bodied world just what we can do as
world-class athletes."
