Young Event Horse Judging Session at Galway Downs
Marilyn Payne will host a Spalding Labs/USEA Young Event Horse judging
seminar at Galway Downs on March 27th, which will be held in conjunction
with the Continuing Education Clinics program that will be happening that
weekend. The seminar will start at 1pm and will, tentatively, end at 5pm.

Dansko Fair Hill International Adds CCI** to 2008 Schedule
Fans of the popular Dansko Fair Hill International Festival in the Country

Instructor Candidates
As of January 2008, a small group of generous USEA members calling
themselves The ICP Boosters have identified Areas III, IV, and IX as USEA
Areas where there are very few USEA Instructors' Certification
Program-certified instructors in relation to the number of USEA members,
compared to other Areas.

2009 Revisions for Qualifications for FEI Eventing Judges
The FEI Eventing Committee has reviewed the qualifications for the FEI
eventing judges and will propose the following changes for the Revision of
the 2009 FEI Rules for Eventing. It is the intention of the Committee that
these principles be applied for the 2009 Revision of Officials at the end
of 2008.

High Performance Manager for the Irish Eventing Team Appointed
Ginny Elliot has been appointed high performance manager for the Irish
eventing team."I'm absolutely delighted and really looking forward to it,"
Ginny told H&H. "I very much enjoy working with up-and-coming riders, and
like to do anything I can to help the sport in general." Ginny added, "I'm
very pleased to be giving something back to the sport." Former British
event rider Ginny Elliot (formerly Leng) won four Olympic medals, three
European Championships, a World Championship, five Burghleys and three
Badminton Horse Trials.

Jane Beshear Named to the 2010 World Games Foundation Board
Jane Beshear was announced yesterday as the latest addition to the 2010
World Equestrian Games Foundation Board of Directors. She was elected
unanimously by the board.

On To Hong Kong - Glossary and Relevant Information from the FEI
In order for a horse participating in an international sporting event to be
imported in a country, bilateral agreements "or protocols for temporary
importation" must exist between the host country and the horse's home
country. This is needed to ensure that the equine health status of both
countries is preserved or, in other words, that no infectious or contagious
diseases will be spread as a result of the trip.
