Atlanta Fall Classic III Horse Show

Conyers, GA - November 26, 2008 - Lucie and Alise Oken added several new ribbons to the Hi Hopes Farm tack room curtain this past week at the Atlanta Fall Classic III Horse Show in Conyers, GA. The Oken sisters, who train with Steve Heinecke and Jeff Wirthman, ride at their family's farm in Weddington, NC. Hi Hopes Farm LLC is owned by Marc and Celene Oken.

At the Atlanta Fall Classic III Horse Show, Alise Oken took home the championship in the Large Junior 16-17 Hunters for the second week in a row. The 17-year-old rider piloted Southern Style for the tricolor after they won first, third, and fourth place over fences, as well as second in the handy hunter class and first place under saddle.

After winning first place in the WIHS Pony Medal, 12-year-old Lucie Oken guided Land's End Mad Hatter to the reserve championship in the Large Pony Hunters. The pair won two blue ribbons, as well as a second, fourth, and fifth.

She also earned ribbons in the Large Pony Hunters aboard Ever After and in the Medium Pony Hunters on Promise. She received the blue ribbon in the Children's 14 and Under Hunter Classic on In Style and also picked up ribbons on her new mount, Mid-Accord.

The Oken's pony Hi Lite had another great week in the Small Pony Hunters, coming home with the reserve championship. Hi Lite was ridden by Aleece Jarman.

"Everyone rode great," commented Steve Heinecke. "It was really, really cold, but the girls all did well. My other student, Madison Maners, was champion of the Medium Pony Hunters on her new pony Cortina. I'm really excited for her. She also did really well on her pony All The Glory. Now we're all just going to go home and practice to get ready for the Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF)."

The horses and riders at Hi Hopes Farm, LLC will take a break from the show ring for the winter as they prepare for their next big competition, the Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington, FL.
