Lake Placid, NY-June 28, 2008-Robert Kraut of Pottstown, PA rode Accordian to victory in the Nicola's Restaurants NAL (North American League) Speed Stake Saturday at the 39th annual Lake Placid Horse Show.

Kraut claimed the win by completing the 14-jump, one-round course at the North Elba Showgrounds in a time of 58.90 seconds. Placing second with a time of 63.075 seconds was Kristen Vanderveen on For Future 3 while third went to Kimberly Prince who had a time of 64.756 seconds on Rival Du Point Du Jour.

Other winners on Saturday included Margaret Lenfest on Respegi in the Whiteface Lodge NAL Adult Jumper Classic for riders 18-40 and Ahmed Alali on Fenway in the Whiteface Lodge NAL Adult Jumper Classic for riders over age 40. Also winning were Christy Distefano on Uppercut in the Adirondack Life Low Junior Jumper Classic and Saly Glassman on Star 32 in the Sidelines Low Amateur-Owner Jumper Classic. The Lake Placid Horse Show concludes Sunday with the week's featured event, the $75,000 Budweiser Grandprix of Lake Placid Presented by RV Sales of Broward. The Lake Placid Horse Show is followed at the same site by the 31st annual I Love New York Horse Show, July 1-6.
