Wellington, FL- The dark cloud that
hung over the Wellington dressage community a few months ago when Bent
Jensen lost his beloved stallion, Rockefeller is lifting. Jensen’s
luck is changing to keep pace with his incredible talent to select and
train horses.
After the loss of his stallion, Jensen and his students headed to
Maryland for the summer. Jensen concentrated on his students and his
other stallion, Colombo. That concentration paid off. At their first
show in Virginia, the VADA/Nova Summer Dressage Competition, Jensen’s
team dominated the upper level classes. Jensen won the
I-1 with a 70.% on Colombo with student’s Kelly Corrigan, Nicole Levy,
and Vanessa Swartz finishing right behind in second, third and fourth
place respectfully. Jensen and student, Erin Moran collectively won
first and second in every Fourth level class too.
And in-between training and showing, Jensen slipped over to Denmark
and acquired one the most exciting young stallions to come along in a
while. Bent’s newest charge, Cassidy is the handsome four-year-old
son of Blue Hors Cavan and winner of the 2005 Best Danish Bred and
Approved Stallion honors! Jensen will bring the new stallion to
Florida after Devon.
