Offers Free Admission and
Family Entertainment

Tulsa, OK- The American Miniature Horse Registry National Championship Show made history last year with record participation. A record 5269 entries made the show the largest miniature horse shows in history and one of the largest all breed shows of the year. “This year’s AMHR National Championship may even exceed last year’s record,” predicts show manager, Lenard Davenport. In addition, the American Miniature Horse Registry is offering free admission throughout the weeklong event. The AMHR National Championships will be held September 9th-17th at the Expo Center in Tulsa with classes running throughout the day and evening.

“We are also pleased to have demonstrations by the Hart family 8-horse miniature hitch daily,” says Johnny Robb, AMHR Marketing Director. “The exciting show and the demonstrations, combined with shopping at the mini-mall and free admission, make this event one that local families won’t want to miss!” “People just melt when they see these amazing miniature horses up close” says Robb, “And they are like magnets for children”.

AMHR Miniature Horses will compete for over $50,000 in cash and prizes in championship and futurity classes. Small horses and large stakes may be another factor contributing to growth of this show each year.

The AMHR National Championship show offers almost 300 classes for Miniatures Horses. They offer classes for division “A” Miniatures which stand at 34”and under at the wither and Division “B” Miniatures which can measure up to 38” at the wither. These miniature horses compete in halter, driving, jumping, costume, youth classes and more!
